I am currently a junior at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln who is double majoring in Sports Media and Broadcasting then minoring in Chemistry. I am a transfer student from Midland University where I played collegiant tennis until a career ending injury. After the injury occured, I decided to take photos and videos of my tennis team since I was traveling and still wanted to participate in some way. I have always had a little bit of a passion for photo taking but didn't realize how much I would fall in love with it in a sports setting. While the career ending injuring was a little heartbreaking after many years of competing, it did lead to me to the university and my current major.
For my future career goals, I plan to graduate from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln by next fall semester, first. I then hope that I can move to Austria within the two years after I graduate to go and work with a tennis team located there. I have a close international friend from Austria that was a player from one of these teams and is helping me get into contact and set up to eventually work with these players; potentially him as well one day. While I am waiting within those two years before moving out of the country, I hope to build my portfolio and gain as much experience through other teams and sports to enhance my experience in Austria even more.
I am known as a very busy person but when I do have my little bit of free time to spare, I enjoy to partake in a sport whether that is playing, coaching, or taking videos/photos of a team. I am currently a softball coach for a traveling fastpitch softball team for 14u girls, called Prodigy Fastpitch. I also am a member of the UNL club softball and tennis programs. As of right now, I take photos and videos for my previous college tennis team that is located at Midland University.
